Building a Bold Personal Brand with Lilly Deijmann
We hopped on some calls with the brilliant Lilly Deijmann, a Dutch strategy and experience designer who knows her way around a grid. This wasn’t just a project; it was a high-speed collaboration to figure out how to bottle Lilly’s specific brand of strategic magic. Since she’s a designer herself, the whole process felt more like a shared laboratory than a standard hand-off.

Designing for a Designer
Branding a peer is a special kind of challenge. We kicked things off with a 2-hour online workshop to dig into Lilly’s market positioning and brand story. We spent our sessions poking at her skillset and finding the "why" behind her work.
We realized that when you’re branding a fellow pro, the best work happens when you stop acting like an "agency" and start acting like a partner. We traded ideas, debated visuals, and discovered that Lilly’s true strength lies in her ability to make the complex feel incredibly simple.
Lilly is a rare mix: she’s structured but creative, polite but refreshingly honest. We wanted her brand to reflect that balance—minimalist structure met with loud, confident colors and graphics.
It’s a bit like a well-organized desk in a room with neon walls: professional and calm, but definitely not shy.
We learned that you don't have to choose between being "minimalist" or "bold"; if you get the strategy right, you can be both at the same time.
Polite, Honest, and a Little Bit Bold

Working with Lilly, we created a personal brand that captures her ability to handle chaos with a smile.
From the core messaging to the final lines of code on her website, every piece of the puzzle reflects her unique blend of Dutch design sensibility and strategic grit.
She’s now out there with a brand that’s as sharp as her insights.
